Article 5: Uses 183 <br /> Section 5.7: Standards for Recreational Uses <br /> As part of the Resources Management Plan, the applicant shall submit a to <br /> blish best management practices (BMP's)for the golf course and <br /> main ance facilities which shall include the following: <br /> (a) ISO potential contaminants from the soil and w r during delivery, <br /> storage use of such contaminants at the f course; <br /> (b) Fertilizer stora rea shall be covere <br /> (c) Washing of maintenan equi nt shall occur in an area that is <br /> covered from the element <br /> (d) Grass clippings an ebris collec from washing may be composted. <br /> (e) Runoff from wash pad area shall be ined to a common point and <br /> either, <br /> Filtered through a grease trap, and recycle , <br /> (ii) Directed through a filtration pond; or <br /> (iii) Discharged to a sewage treatment facility other than a gr d <br /> absorption system. <br /> (3) Irrigation <br /> (a) Irrigation systems shall be designed and operated according to a water <br /> conservation plan described in the Resources Management Plan <br /> submitted with the application; <br /> (b) The schematic irrigation plan required by Section 5.7.3(Q71 shall <br /> identify the source(s)of water to be used for irrigation, the volume <br /> available for that purpose, and expected consumption rates. The system <br /> design and plan for operation will be evaluated based on efficiency; and <br /> (c) Use water recycled from stormwater retention ponds, or treated sewage <br /> effluent, where it is a safe alternative. <br /> 4) Habitat Maintenance <br /> (a) Habitats identified in the biological inventory and habitats reated <br /> through mitigation shall be maintained in accordance h the Resources <br /> Management Plan and/or a conservation easeme agreement; and <br /> (b) intenance of habitats shall be minimal, co sting primarily of <br /> mai ining buffers and enhancements, re oval of exotic (non-native) <br /> plant sp ies, and keeping drainage w s functioning properly. <br /> (5) Maintenance of Imp vements <br /> (a) All site improveme such a oads, utilities (including irrigation and <br /> drainage structures), t f course, habitat enhancements, recreational <br /> amenities, signage, la s ing, etc. shall be maintained in function and <br /> appearance. <br /> (b) Maintenance ecifications for on-g ' g site management shall be <br /> submitted part of the Resources Ma ement Plan. <br /> (6) Solid Waste nagement <br /> (a) T Resources Management Plan shall include a gram for the on- <br /> going recycling and composting of refuse from course d landscape <br /> maintenance, as well as solid waste from other course fa '' ies such as <br /> a clubhouse. <br /> (G) ollutant Monitoring Program <br /> Orange County, North Carolina—Unified Development Ordinance Page 5-54 <br />
