From the canvass so made by this Board it is determined and declared. <br />(a) That 15498 voters were registered and qualified to vote at said election. <br />(b) That at said election 2837 votes were cast for the order authorizing the County of Orange <br />to contract a debt and in evidence thereof to issue not exceeding $1,500,000 School Building Bonds <br />of said County for the purpose of providing funds, with any other available funds, for erecting <br />additional school buildings and other school plant facilities, remodeling, enlarging and reconstructing <br />existing school buildings and other school plant facilities, and acouiring necessary land and equip- <br />ment therefor, in order to provide additional school facilities in the County of Orange to maintain <br />the six months' school term in said County as required by Section 3 of Article IX of the Constitu- <br />tion, and authorizing the levy and collection of a sufficient tax for the payment of the principal <br />of and the interest on said bonds, and 1512 votes were cast against said order, that a majority <br />of the qualified voters of said County who voted thereon at said election voted in favor of the <br />approval of said order, and that said order was thereby approved and is in force and effect. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Harvey D. Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Donald R. McDade, the <br />foregoing resolution entitled: "RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE ELECTION UPON THE ORDER <br />AUTHORIZING sl,500,000 SCHOOL BUILDING BONDS OF ORANGE COUNTY HELD ON MARCH 18, 1961, AND DETERMINING <br />AIM DECLkR1NG THE RESULT THEREOF" was passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Donald M.
