There were 84 . 5 % new sessions , and 15 . 5 % returning visitors . <br /> NEW vs . RETURNING USERS (pg . 11 ) : <br /> From May 1 - June 26 , 2014, 84 . 47 % visitors were new users and 15 . 53 % were returning visitors . <br /> i <br /> i <br /> MOBILE (pg. 12 ) : <br /> The Chapel Hill Recorder is a responsive web site, and therefore is functional and consistent on <br /> i <br /> all devices : desktop computers, laptop computers , cell phones and tablets , in both platforms , <br /> Mac , PC , Apple & Android. From May 1 - June 26 , 2014 , The Chapel Hill Recorder was viewed <br /> mostly on desktops ( 57 % ) , compared with mobile devices ( 29 % ) and tablets ( 13 % ) . <br /> i <br /> ADVERTISING OVERVIEW <br /> There are currently eight promotional ads for the Chapel Hill/ Orange County Visitors Bureau <br /> that rotate randomly at every page load or refresh . They have been placed in the most prom - <br /> c <br /> inent location (upper right corner) on every single page of The Chapel Hill Recorder, which <br /> currently includes 90 articles , 21 pages , and 533 individual event listings . These ads will also be i% <br /> included in all future posts , pages and event listings . Due to the extensive presence of the ads <br /> throughout the site, each ad has received over 3 , 000 views ( impressions ) since May 1 , 2014) 1% <br /> reaching over total 24, 000 views for all eight ads . Note : "Clicks" are not counted . (pgs . 13 - 20 ) <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Since partnering with the Chapel Hill/ Orange County Visitors Bureau on May 1 , 2014 , The <br /> Chapel Hill Recorder has been able to increase the amount of new posts and new content <br /> significantly, and promote the web site more frequently. Therefore site traffic has increased over <br /> 30 % , which helps promote the Chapel Hill/ Orange County area to more people . <br /> Continued funding of The Chapel Hill Recorder by The Chapel Hill/ Orange County Visitors <br /> Bureau will contribute greatly to increased web site traffic , and supports the continued growth <br /> of the web site . Our partnership allows for more articles , events listings , and news headlines . <br /> The goal of The Chapel Hill Recorder is to continue its mission to highlight and promote all the <br /> aspects of our community that make the Chapel Hill/ Orange County area special for residents <br /> and visitors alike . It compliments and enhances the mission of the Chapel Hill/ Orange County <br /> Visitors Bureau, to position the Orange County area as an ideal destination for visitors . <br />
