The demographic breakdown of students served and rate of <br /> Free and Reduced Lunch is considered when selecting funded programs. <br /> o The OCAC continued to explore new, accessible, arts space to provide arts <br /> participation opportunities for at-risk youth. <br /> • Diversity <br /> o The OCAC Arts Grants review process includes prioritizing of applications that hire <br /> artists of color. Thirty-one percent of 2020-21 grants funds were allocated towards <br /> projects that fulfilled this goal. <br /> • Quality of Life <br /> o As the Designated County Partner with the North Carolina Arts Council, the OCAC <br /> uses the Grassroots Arts Program funds to provide high quality arts experiences to <br /> as many Orange County residents as possible. <br /> o All activities and programs offered by the OCAC are geared towards strengthening <br /> the creative community of Orange County.
