A bright green shadow, , indicates <br /> which highways on the map are to be amended. <br /> A summary of the reasons for the proposed highway updates includes: <br /> • New Roadway Needs —Some new roadway needs have been identified since the <br /> adoption of the CTP. Examples of these needs include modernization of rural <br /> roadways in Orange County and a more direct connection between US 15-501 <br /> bypass and Cole Mill Road. <br /> • New and Discontinued Local Plans—The roadway network of the recently <br /> approved Efland-Buckhorn-Mebane Access Management Plan needs to be <br /> integrated into the CTP. Roadway improvements that were based on the <br /> discontinued Durham-Orange Light Rail Transit plan can be deleted from the <br /> CTP. <br /> • New Development Impacts— Modifications are needed to the CTP roadway <br /> network between US 70 and NC 98 in Durham County based on new <br /> developments and site plans. <br /> DRAFT CTP Amendment#3 3 <br />
