RES-2021-020 3 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS,the Orange County Sheriff's Office is in possession of surplus ammunition that is either <br /> no longer needed by or not best suited for the agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, AmChar Wholesale, Inc. has been in the firearms business since 1980. It is one of the <br /> top distributors in the industry for law enforcement entities and independent dealers in the United <br /> States; and <br /> WHEREAS,the County and AmChar Wholesale,Inc.wish to make an even exchange of the surplus <br /> ammunition for merchandise credits; and <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute § 160A-271 authorizes the county to make such an <br /> exchange if authorized by the Board of Commissioners by a resolution adopted at a regular meeting <br /> of the board upon at least 10 days'public notice; and <br /> WHEREAS, the county has given the required public notice, and the board is convened in a regular <br /> meeting. <br /> THEREFORE,THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ORANGE COUNTY HEREBY RESOLVES THAT: <br /> 1.The exchange of properties described above is authorized. <br /> 2.
