2 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING AND EXPRESSING GRATITUDE TO <br /> THOM FREEMAN-STUART, <br /> RETIRING ASSISTANT DEPUTY CLERK <br /> WHEREAS, Thom Freeman-Stuart started working with Orange County in 2006 as an <br /> Office Assistant with Animal Services; and <br /> WHEREAS, Thom earned a promotion to Accounting Technician with the Department of <br /> Social Services in 2008; and <br /> WHEREAS, Thom transferred to the Board of County Commissioners; Office as an <br /> Assistant to the Clerk in 2013 and was later reclassified to Assistant Deputy Clerk in 2017; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, during his time in the Board of County Commissioners' Office, Thom did an <br /> exceptional job maintaining and improving the advisory boards and commissions process, <br /> as well as managing the budget and finances for the office; and <br /> WHEREAS, Thom provided excellent service to both internal and external customers, <br /> and was always available to lend a hand; and <br /> WHEREAS, Thom is regarded by his coworkers as a wonderful colleague and friend <br /> whose kindness and good humor will be missed; and <br /> WHEREAS, Thom retired from Orange County on March 31, 2021 after almost <br /> 15 years in service to the County and its residents; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, we, the Orange County Board of Commissioners, do hereby <br /> recognize and express deep appreciation and respect for the services rendered by Thom <br /> Freeman-Stuart to the Orange County community, and wish him well in his retirement. <br /> This the 6t" day of April 2021. <br /> Renee Price, Chair <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />
