Article 10: Definitions 340 <br /> Section 10.1: Definitions <br /> Traffic Generation: High <br /> Uses which generate an average of more than 800 vehicle trips per day. <br /> Transmission Lines <br /> a) For lines carrying electrical energy, transmission lines are those which carry 45,000 volts or more. <br /> b) For lines which carry liquids or gases, transmission lines are those operating or designed to <br /> operate at pressures of one hundred pounds per square inch or greater. <br /> Travel Trailer <br /> A structure that is: <br /> a) Intended to be transported over the streets and highways (either as a motor vehicle or attached to <br /> or hauled by a motor vehicle), and <br /> b) Designed for temporary use as sleeping quarters, but that does not meet the definition of a <br /> manufactured home. <br /> Tree, DBH <br /> Diameter at breast height of a tree, which is measured at 4.5 feet above ground surface level. <br /> Tree, Critical Root Zone <br /> The minimum area beneath a tree which must be left undisturbed in order to preserve a sufficient root <br /> mass to give a tree a reasonable chance of survival. The critical root zone is approximately one foot of <br /> radial distance for every inch of tree's DBH, with a minimum of eight feet. <br /> Tree, High Value <br /> A tree that meets or exceeds the following standards: for pine species, 14" DBH or greater, or 18" or <br /> greater stump diameter, and for hardwood or wetland species, 16" DBH or greater, or 24" or greater <br /> stump diameter. <br /> Trip Generation Rates <br /> The total count of trips to and from a study site per unit of land use as measured by parameters such as <br /> dwelling units, acres, etc. <br /> Twenty-Year Transition Land''—" <br /> Land designated in the Comprehensive Plan as being located in areas that are in the process of changing <br /> from rural to urban, that are suitable for urban-type densities and should be provided with public utilities <br /> and services within the second 10-year phase of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Upward <br /> In the context of outdoor lighting, the projection of light above the horizontal plane. <br /> Urban Designated <br /> Land that is located within a Transition Area as identified in the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive <br /> Plan and also within a Primary Service Area as defined by the Water and Sewer Management Planning <br /> and the Boundary Agreement and Map adopted December 3, 2001 and as either may be amended from <br /> time to time. <br /> Utility Lines and Line Equipment <br /> The local distribution system of public utilities and community systems which include electricity, <br /> telephone, water, sewage disposal, and cable television.
