Article 10: Definitions 327 <br /> Section 10.1: Definitions <br /> Livability Space <br /> Livability space is part of total open space appropriately improved and located as outdoor living space for <br /> residents and for aesthetic appeal. Such spaces include lawns and other landscaped areas, walkways, <br /> paved terraces and sitting areas, outdoor recreational areas, and landscaped portions of street rights-of- <br /> way. Such space shall not be used for vehicles, except for incidental service, maintenance or emergency <br /> action. <br /> Livability Space Ratio <br /> Livability space ratio is the minimum square footage of non-vehicular outdoor space required for each <br /> square foot of land area in residential development. It is open space used for people, planting and visual <br /> appeal and does not include vehicular parking and access areas. <br /> Lodgings <br /> Living quarters which do not contain independent kitchen facilities, provided, however, that dwelling units <br /> occupied by transients on a rental or lease basis for periods of less than one week shall be considered <br /> lodging units even though they contain independent kitchen facilities. <br /> Lodging Unit <br /> A room or rooms connected together, constituting a separate lodging for one family only, physically <br /> separated from any other rooms or dwelling or lodging units. Where two or more rooms are connected by <br /> a doorway or doorways, and arranged, equipped and furnished in such a manner that they might <br /> reasonably be rented, leased or occupied, either individually or in combination, each room shall be <br /> construed as a lodging unit. <br /> Logo <br /> An established identifying symbol or mark associated with a business or business entity. <br /> Lot <br /> Land bounded by lines established for the purpose of property division. The term includes water areas <br /> included in the property so enclosed. As used in this Ordinance, unless the context indicates otherwise, <br /> the term refers to a zoning lot. (See Lot, Zoning). <br /> Lot Definitions163 <br /> (See LGt, Lot Zening, Lot NA-R-C epfermiRg, Lot NOR Legal for ZeniRg Purposes, Lot Area Net, Let Area <br /> Gross, Lot Building Area Of, Gmss Land A.Fea- of PID H DiStFiGtS, SetbaGk, Lot Regular, Lot irregular, <br /> Residential Land Fee) <br /> Lot, Flag <br /> An irregularly shaped lot where the buildable portion of the lot is connected to its street frontage by an <br /> arm of the lot. <br /> Lot Area, Gross <br /> Where gross lot area is used as a basis for computation of maximum allowable floor area through <br /> application of floor area ratios, such gross area shall be computed as net area, defined below, plus half <br /> the width of adjoining permanent open space such as streets, parks, water areas and the lake (but not <br /> areas on buildable lots) up to the maximum specified for the district.
