The location of the required interior landscaping is at the <br /> option of the owner or developer and may include <br /> median strips and required terminal islands. <br /> Figure 6.8.7.D:Vehicular Use Area Landscaping,Terminal Islands <br /> 4A"444 t- f:lk <br /> © ZU• `1 <br /> Q No more than ten parking spaces shall 90 Y��r — g• F ! l <br /> be permitted in a continuous row without IF <br /> being interrupted by a terminal landscape island. <br /> 0 Terminal islands shall have a minimum of 300 square feet and be planted with a minimum <br /> of one canopy tree,as well as shrubs and ground cover. <br /> Not less than 5%of the interior of any parking.or other vehicular use area shall be landscaped. <br /> A landscaped area of at least 10 feet in width shall be provided between the vehicular use area and the right-of-way. <br /> 6.8.8 Credits for Existing Vegetation <br /> (A) Healthy vegetation that is retained may be credited toward landscaping requirements. <br /> (B) Vegetation to be saved shall meet all requirements of Section 6.8.4, Protection of <br /> Existing Vegetation. <br /> (C) Healthy canopy trees may be retained and credited toward landscaping requirements <br /> if each tree proposed for credit has a caliper of at least two inches, and credit will be <br /> given on a one-for-one basis. <br /> (D) Credit shall be allocated on a one-for-one basis for healthy evergreen trees, <br /> deciduous understory trees, evergreen understory trees or shrubs. The size of <br /> material shall not be taken into account except where such material is below the <br /> required minimum planting size, in which case no credit shall be granted. <br /> (E) In order to receive credit for any retained trees, 100% of the critical root zone shall <br /> remain undisturbed. Trees with critical root zones outside the protected area shall <br /> not count toward any landscaping requirements unless consistent with Section <br /> 6.8.6(E)(2). <br /> 6.8.9 Screening <br /> (A) Applicability <br /> (1) The standards contained herein shall apply to the following: <br /> (a) Air handlers and similar mechanical equipment in multifamily or <br /> nonresidential development; <br /> (b) Outdoor storage for nonresidential development137; <br /> (c) Loading areas; and <br /> 137 This appears to be either an outdated or partial term.
