Meeting Summary/Minutes: September 16, 2020: Minutes were approved unanimously <br /> 5. Items for Decision: <br /> a) New VAD/EVAD Applications(Attachment 2): Hughes presented the current applications listed <br /> below. All of these farms meet the requirements/criteria for VAD/EVAD enrollment. <br /> • Isaac and Sharon Lau: 37.8 acres,for VAD, Cedar Grove Ag. District: 1 parcel; pasture for <br /> livestock grazing and hayland plus managed woodland (small acreage) <br /> • Peggy Fuller: 116.16 acres for VAD, Cedar Grove Ag District: -1 parcel in hayland and newly <br /> planted woodland (Forestry Mgt. Plan is being developed) <br /> • Watt Parker (new parcels to add to his existing enrollment): 172.91 acres,VAD, Cedar Grove <br /> Ag. District, 2 parcels: hayland/pastures and managed woodland <br /> • Greg Bohlen/Bohlen Farms/Bandit Farms LLC/Bandit Farms II/Josh Williams: 509.5 acres, <br /> VAD in New Hope and White Cross Ag Districts, 17 parcels:vineyard/table grapes (selling at <br /> Weaver St. as Union Grove Farm) and managed woodland <br /> • Ownership change only: no change in acres:Allen/Christine Green: 7030 Woodcrest Farm <br /> Ln. (18 ac.) PIN 9840687135; will remain owners; Daniel/Liza Green = new owners of 5604 <br /> Dairyland Rd. (12 ac.) PIN 9840298246 ;these are new owners (son/daughter in law). <br /> The above applications total 836.37 acres being proposed for enrollment, all in the VAD program. <br /> Discussion followed regarding concerns about a parcel along Union Grove Church Road that has <br /> been cleared in the last year or two and appears to be eroding more that is necessary. Is there a <br /> conservation plan in place or underway for this parcel? Hughes reported on her recent site visit to <br /> view the parcels in this particular application.The property owner has indicated that this erosion is <br /> being addressed. One of the positive aspects of this program is that it allows staff to work <br />
