(100 words or <br /> less) <br /> Addressing BOCC's goal to "ensure a high quality of life and lifelong learning that champions <br /> diversity, education at all levels..." Kidzu plans to continue providing rigorous and engaging <br /> out of school time STEM programs and free access to Kidzu for children living in poverty <br /> throughout Orange County. Our STEM activities scaffold current classroom instruction and <br /> the programs at Kidzu support early childhood goals laid out by the state of NC. Families <br /> from Cedar Grove, Efland Cheeks and New Hope will engage in their child's learning during <br /> Family STEM Nights at their schools and benefit from additional educational activities at <br /> Kidzu through 6 free Sundays at the museum. The program is designed to connect with <br /> families in their community during after school hours and then provide free access to Kidzu <br /> during the monthly free Sundays. We are expanding the number of individuals served this <br /> year by expanding the programs at the museum. <br /> 7.
