Chair Price said Leon Meyers was mentioned during the February 9, 2021 work <br /> session as a potential nominee for an At-Large appointment to the Board of Adjustment. She <br /> said Leon Myers expressed a willingness to serve. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br /> appoint Mr. Meyers to the Board of Adjustment. <br /> Commissioner Bedford offered a friendly amendment to the motion, to also appoint all of <br /> the other individuals listed on the consent agenda item 8-b to their respective Advisory Boards <br /> and Commissions, as well as Mr. Meyers. <br /> Commissioner Fowler and Commissioner McKee accepted the amendment. <br /> Roll call ensued. <br /> VOTE: UNANMIOUS <br /> a. Minutes <br /> The Board approved the draft minutes for the January 5, 2021 Virtual Public Hearing (continued <br /> to January 12, 2021) and the January 19, 2021 Board of County Commissioners Virtual <br /> Business Meeting. <br /> b. Advisory Boards and Commissions —Appointments <br /> The Board approved the Advisory Boards and Commissions appointments as reviewed and <br /> discussed during the February 9, 2021 Work Session. <br /> c. Resolution Acknowledging February 23, 2021 as Spay Neuter Day in Orange County, <br /> North Carolina <br /> The Board adopted an official resolution, which is incorporated by reference, declaring February <br /> 23, 2021 is "Spay Neuter Day" in Orange County, authorize the Chair to sign, and receive a <br /> written update about the County's spay and neuter program. <br /> d. Designation of 401 Valley Forge Road, Hillsborough, NC as Surplus Property <br /> The Board voted to: <br /> 1. Approve the designation of 401 Valley Forge Road, Hillsborough, NC as surplus property; <br />
