He said the process is set up to allow these <br /> types of negotiations. <br /> Michael Harvey said he does not have any concerns about adding the storage facility. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin said he understands Commissioner Hamilton's point. He said if <br /> the Applicant is changing the application, then it should be reviewed by staff and voted on a <br /> future date. He said if the Applicant is not making a change to the application, then it does not <br /> seem to be something the Board needs to consider. He said if it is not part of the project area, <br /> then the Board does not even need to talk about it, nor have justification for the item to return to <br /> the Board. <br /> Michael Harvey said the application does not include the extra storage building, and, <br /> ideally, it needs to be shown on the site plan. He said it is an accessory unit, so he would be <br /> willing to support the Applicant's request that a condition be imposed. He said it is not going to <br /> increase the additional storage space on the site, nor will it increase the impervious surface. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin asked if the extra storage facility was added to the application <br /> earlier in the process, would Michael Harvey have asked the Applicant to add it to the site plan. <br /> Michael Harvey said yes. <br /> Chad Abbott apologized for the late notice of this request. He shared his screen to <br /> show the property. <br /> Chair Price asked if this shed will be in the area that needs to be rezoned. <br /> Craig Benedict said yes, but it will not be within the fenced area. <br /> Chair Price said if it was not being rezoned, could the Applicant have erected the <br /> storage shed without the involvement of the BOCC. <br /> Craig Benedict said because it is part of a rezoning process, the County must approve <br /> anything that is within the area. <br /> Chair Price asked if the zoning were approved tonight, and the owner wanted to put up <br /> a shed in the future, would he need to come back before the Board. <br /> Craig Benedict said if the impervious parameters stayed intact then yes, the owner could <br /> erect the shed without the BOCC's permission. <br /> Commissioner Greene echoed Chair Price's question, and said if the answer is yes, <br /> then she does not see a problem with approving it at this meeting. <br /> Commissioner McKee said his understanding is that conditional zoning was to make the <br /> process smoother and quicker, so applicants did not have to keep coming back.
