Attachment l 1 1 MINUTES 2 ORANGE COUNTY 3 BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 4 VIRTUAL BUSINESS MEETING 5 FEBRUARY 2, 2021 6 7:00 p.m. 7 8 The Orange County Board of Commissioners met for a Virtual Business Meeting on Tuesday, 9 February 2, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. 10 11 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Renee Price, Vice Chair Jamezetta Bedford, 12 and Commissioners Amy Fowler, Jean Hamilton, Mark Dorosin, Sally Greene, and Earl 13 McKee 14 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: NONE 15 COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts 16 COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Deputy County Manager 17 Travis Myren, and Clerk to the Board Laura Jensen. (All other staff members will be identified 18 appropriately below) 19 20 Chair Price called the meeting to order at 7:14 p.m., which was later than scheduled due 21 to technical issues 22 23 A roll call was called; all members were present. 24 25 Due to current public health concerns, the Board of Commissioners is conducting a Virtual 26 Business Meeting on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Members of the Board of Commissioners 27 participated in the meeting remotely. As in prior meetings, members of the public were able to 28 view and listen to the meeting via live streaming video at 29 http://www.orangecountync.gov/967/Meeting-Videos and on Orange County Gov-TV on 30 channels 1301 or 97.6 (Spectrum Cable). 31 32 In this new virtual process, there are two methods for public comment. 33 • Written submittals by email 34 . Speaking during the virtual meeting 35 36 Detailed public comment instructions for each method are provided at the bottom of this 37 agenda. (Pre-registration is required.) 38 39 1. Additions or Changes to the Agenda 40 No additions or changes were noted. 41 Chair Price dispensed with reading the public charge. 42 43 Public Charge: The Board of Commissioners pledges its respect to all present. The Board asks 44 those attending this meeting to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner toward 45 each other, county staff and the commissioners. At any time should a member of the Board or 46 the public fail to observe this charge, the Chair will take steps to restore order and decorum. 47 Should it become impossible to restore order and continue the meeting, the Chair will recess 48 the meeting until such time that a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed. The 49 BOCC asks that all electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, and computers should 50 please be turned off or set to silent/vibrate. Please be kind to everyone.
