17 <br /> 1 Planning Board Recommendation: The Planning Board reviewed the zoning atlas amendment <br /> 2 at its January 6, 2021 regular meeting. At this meeting the Board voted unanimously to <br /> 3 recommend approval of the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 8) and the proposed Zoning <br /> 4 Atlas Amendment (Attachment 9). <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Excerpts of the minutes from the meeting, as well as the Board's signed Statement of <br /> 7 Consistency, are included in Attachment 7. Statement of Consistency indicating the zoning atlas amendment is reasonable and <br /> 12 in the public interest as contained in Attachment 8. <br /> 13 2. Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas as well as imposing development conditions <br /> 14 for the identified parcel as contained in Attachment 9. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends the Board: <br /> 17 <br /> 18 1. Receive the request; <br /> 19 2. Conduct the public hearing and accept comment; <br /> 20 3. Provide direction to staff and the applicant on any additional conditions consistent with <br /> 21 Section 2.9.2 (F) (3) of the UDO; <br /> 22 4. Close the public hearing <br /> 23 5. Authorize the acceptance of written comment(s) via e-mail to the Board at <br /> 24 ocbocc orangecountync.gov or by delivery to the Planning Department's office at 131 <br /> 25 West Margaret Lane, 2nd floor, Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278, until 9:00 a.m. on <br /> 26 Thursday February 4, 2021; <br /> 27 6. Consider action to approve the: <br /> 28 a. Statement of Consistency (Attachment 8), and <br /> 29 b. Zoning Atlas Amendment (Attachment 9) <br /> 30 as recommended by the Planning Board and Planning Director. <br /> 31 If written comments to the rezoning request are received before the deadline stated in <br /> 32 #5, this item will be brought back to the BOCC on February 16, 2021 for further consideration.
