I hope by doing this I can learn more about my community and about the
local government that directly impacts my life and the lives of my family.
Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board:
I am a bit different than many individuals who tend to serve in local volunteer positions. Further, while there are a number of physicians and scientists in the area, I do
not prominently see their participation on local boards.
Conflict of Interest:
No disclosures.
Boards/Commissions appointments:
Orange County Parks and Recreation Council
Application Date: 1/13/2020
Background, education and experience relevant to this board:
I received my undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill and a obtained an MD and a PhD (in
molecular pharmacology)from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, MN.
completed pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, and pediatric electrophysiology cl
Reasons for wanting to serve on this board:
I since being a part of the Hillsborough Parks and Rec Board, I have learned a tremendous
amount about the intricacies of town planning as it pertains to the Town s recreational spaces.
This has given me an appreciation for the role of these spaces in a
Conflict of Interest:
Board of Equalization and Review(REQUIRES DISCLOSURE STATEMENT)
Application Date: 1/13/2020
Background, education and experience relevant to this board:
I received my undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill and a obtained an MD and a PhD (in
molecular pharmacology)from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, MN.
