She said she will share this letter with the Board. She said <br /> 21 she also received comments Karen Dunn, who felt the disengagement plan was vague, and <br /> 22 wanted specifics on what members would gain or lose under the change, in order to provide <br /> 23 meaningful comments and input. <br /> 24 Commissioner Bedford asked if Travis Myren had the letter from the National Alliance on <br /> 25 Mental Illness (NAMI), supporting disengagement. <br /> 26 Travis Myren said yes, and he will disseminate all of this information to the BOCC. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 A motion was made by Commissioner Bedford, seconded by Commissioner to approve <br /> 29 the Disengagement Plan (Attachment 1), and authorize the County Manager to take all <br /> 30 necessary steps to implement the Plan. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Roll call ensued <br /> 33 <br /> 34 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 35 <br /> 36 b. Davis joined the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service in the 1950's. Bonnie <br /> 44 retired from Orange County Cooperative Extension Department in 1990 after over 40 years as <br /> 45 the Family & Consumer Sciences Agent. She died on July 27, 2018. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Bonnie B. Davis was appointed the first Orange County "colored" Home Demonstration <br /> 48 Agent (now known as Family and Consumer Sciences Agent), a job she retained for 40 <br /> 49 years. <br /> 50 <br />
