Quality and Well
Impacts;
Air - Pollution;
Air - Greenhouse
Gas Emissions
36 Traffic Concerns; Given estimates for volume of traffic at the site, there is a likelihood for
Water - Surface runoff to carry high levels of sediment, toxic chemicals, heavy metals, and
Water Quality; other pollutants into our waterways and drinking water. Again—are the
Open/Protected buffers adequate? Furthermore, should stormwater controls be located
Space within the so-called Preserved Green Space, as currently indicated?
Preservation
37 Noise and Light The business is under no obligation to maintain such buffers once the
Pollution project has been completed. Enforcement in other areas of the state
regarding sound buffer maintenance has been laxed in my experience. The
sound buffers will more than likely not be maintained by the property
owner and/or businesses.
38 Water - The extensive amount of impervious surface and the associated runoff, in The Eno River Association
Impervious conjunction with the high volume of vehicular traffic, will surely deposit (letter)
Surface and high levels of sediment, toxic chemicals, heavy metals and other pollutants
Stormwater into our waterways and drinking water. However, two of the stormwater controls on the plan
are located within the designated "Preserved Green Space Area." Control
structures of this magnitude would require significant disturbance, and by
the very definition not be"preserved."These "preserved" areas should not
include stormwater controls, roads, utilities, or any other disturbance. The
potential runoff issues, as well as the necessary fuel storage to support 120
