Name Location Date Comment
Leon Godwin Mebane, NC 2020-12-15 "Efland needs support for local businesses, not a giant eyesore from out of
town."
Alexandra Zornick Efland,NC 2020-12-15 "Efland is my home,my parents still live almost diagonally from this
proposed development. The light and noise pollution will destroy so much
of what I love about this place. We do not need a company that will destroy
our home, but one that will make our community stronger."
Susie Enoch Efland, NC 2020-12-15 "Let's fight to save our beautiful Efland. Be a voice!"
addison brown Hillsborough, 2020-12-15 "We don't need this nightmare in our small community."
NC
Susie Enoch Efland, NC 2020-12-15 "My husband and I moved to Efland twelve years ago because of its
beauty and natural serene backdrop. Having native americans roots and
family origins here in Orange County makes me very protective of our
environment. We do not companies infiltrating our air, water or land.We do
not need this type of growth here in Orange County. We like our area with a
warm quaint hometown feeling.Traffic,
big oil and shopping capital in this area opens us up to crime in our
neighborhoods. I've traveled and lived extensively around the world...no
place gave us the feeling of peace and calm like Efland.Don't close Ext
160,it's a lifeline to our little piece of simplicity."
A C Orange 2020-12-17 "1 don't want more traffic and development in Orange County.Enough is
County, NC, enough. The county commissioners already steamrolled the residents to
US get the RTLP.Look at Alamance County. It's an absolute disaster
because of development like this. I love the rural quietude of Orange
County. It's an oasis of peace in the triangle. That's why I live here.Once
destroyed that peace will never come back. I emphatically denounce the
plan for Bucees."
Jeremy Poythress Efland, NC 2020-12-17 "1 have lived in Efland my whole life and enjoyed the country feel with
little traffic. One of the reasons its so special is because there is no light
pollution and there are clear night skies to watch stars.Another reason
it's convenient to live here, ironically,is I have no trouble finding a gas
station to put gas in my truck.Efland absolutely does NOT need another
gas station. There is literally a gas station at every single exit you can
take in either direction on 1-40 as well as giant truck stops at Buckhorn
and Mebane. It has actually been irritating at how many gas stations
there are and I always wondered why we needed so many.To suggest
we need a giant one in the center of Efland with tons of light pollution and
increased traffic is absolutely ridiculous. This has every sign of someone
filling their pockets with money at the expense of everyone who lives or
comes through Efland. It is so sad someone was even suggesting putting
this here in such a special place. I understand development will occur,"
