Box 8181
Hillsborough,NC 27278
RE: Buc-ee's Efland Station Proposed development
Dear Orange County Board of County Commissioners:
The purpose of this letter is to express our concern about potential environmental issues
with the proposed Buc-ee's development in Efland. The large scale of the project, the
quantity of fuel storage tanks required to service 120 gas pumps and also the potential for
fuel spills raises concerns for this sensitive area close to Seven Mile Creek and the Eno
River. The Orange Soil and Water Conservation District Board urges the county to look
closely at how this development might impact the water quality and environment in
Orange County.
The Board greatly appreciates your consideration of this request.
Sincerely,
.Caren J. -"McAdams
Karen J. McAdams, Chairman
Orange Soil and Water Conservation Board of Supervisors
