Call to Order <br /> Bradley Saul called the meeting to order at 7:35 pm. <br /> II. CFE 2021 Officer Election <br /> Bill Ward nominated Kim Piracci for CFE Chair; seconded by Bradley Saul; all in favor; <br /> none opposed; Kim Piracci shall serve as Chair of CFE for 2021. Kim Piracci nominated <br /> Kim Livingston for CFE Vice-Chair; seconded by Elizabeth McWhorter; all in favor; <br /> none opposed; Kim Livingston shall serve as Vice-Chair of CFE for 2021. <br /> III. Additions or Changes to Agenda <br /> None. <br /> IV. Approval of Draft Minutes from January 111h 2021 <br /> Motion by Bradley Saul; seconded by Frank Binkowski; none opposed; motion passed. <br /> V. CFE Activities—2021 <br /> CFE discussed current activities with a brief status update for each item. CFE decided to <br /> remove Carbon Fee &Dividend/Fossil Fuel Divestment resolution(s), Coordination <br /> with Planning Dept. and Duke Energy IRP Letter from list. <br /> VI. Development Project Review Process <br /> CFE discussed lessons learned from the last project it was asked to weigh in upon from <br /> the Orange County BOCC in order to improve the process moving forward. Joint <br /> agreement amongst CFE members that the CFE needed more time to review projects in <br /> the future. <br /> VII. PowerPoint on Resolutions and the Work of the CFE <br /> Brennan Bouma gave a PowerPoint presentation on the difference between a resolution <br /> and an ordinance. Bill Ward proposed a resolution on health effects of climate change <br /> for potential consideration by the Orange County BOCC but the CFE chose to not move <br /> it forward. CFE discussed ideas that members had for possible resolutions to put forward <br /> to the Orange County BOCC in the future. CFE showed interest in working on the <br /> County's Climate Action Plan. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
