She <br /> said protective measures are likely to continue for a while until children are vaccinated. She <br /> said the meeting with the school boards in February will be helpful. <br /> Commissioner McKee said children falling behind in education will impact the County <br /> long-term, and the Board needs to focus on this. He said some families are excelling in a virtual <br /> education, and some are not. He said families have different resources to devote to educating <br /> their children. <br /> Commissioner Bedford pointed out that there are many programs related to eviction <br /> intervention, and asked that to be noted on Jamboard. She asked if the Board could focus on <br /> food and hunger needs in the County. She said her number 1 and 2 priorities are food and <br /> housing. She said support to the aging interrelates with food and housing. She said a longer- <br /> term strategy that could be more revolutionary is things like a basic minimum wage. <br /> Commissioner Bedford said it is important to get the vaccination program working well, <br /> which is part of health care.
