20 <br /> Article 1: Administration <br /> Section 1.9:Development Advisory Committee <br /> (B) Attendance requirements. <br /> (C) Establishment of a quorum,which shall be a majority of the appointed members,to <br /> allow the Board to conduct business. <br /> (D) Establishment of a date and time for a regular meeting. <br /> (E) A procedure for calling special meetings as the need of the Board requires. <br /> I R 51.8.6 Conduct and Notification of Meetings <br /> All meetings of the Board shall be conducted in compliance with: <br /> (A) North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 143,Article 33C, <br /> (B) This Ordinance <br /> The Planning Director shall give notice of Board meetings as provided in NCGS Chapter 143, <br /> Article 33C. Notice of meetings shall be given to Board of Adjustment members as provided in <br /> the Rules of Procedure adopted by the Board as well as the provisions of this Ordinance. <br /> 1 R 61.8.7 Record of Meetings <br /> The Planning Director shall keep a record of Board meetings to be maintained as a permanent <br /> public record. This record shall include minutes from each meeting including the vote of each <br /> member on every question,the Board's findings on required items, recommendations,and a <br /> complete summary of the evidence submitted to the Board including all documents,data,and <br /> testimony presented. <br /> SECTION • ' ADVISORY • <br /> 1.9.1 Establishment and Intent <br /> (A) Establishment <br /> There is hereby established a Development Advisory Committee(DAC)to assist the <br /> Planning Department in the execution of its functions with respect to processing <br /> applications submitted in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br /> (B) Intent <br /> The DAC is an informal advisory committee to allow various entities to review and <br /> discuss issues associated with a submitted application in order to assist with the <br /> development of a formal recommendation as to the disposition of the request by the <br /> Planning Department. <br /> 1.9.2 Duties and Responsibilities <br /> The Development Advisory Committee has the following duties and responsibilities. The <br /> Committee shall: <br /> (A) Review proposed text and atlas amendments, Conditional Districts,Special Use <br /> Ppermits,rezonings,subdivisions or other similar technical issues that may be referred <br /> to the Committee. <br /> (B) Review in cooperation with the Planning Director the relationship between the <br /> Comprehensive Plan and this Ordinance. <br /> (C) Produce,as required,for all County governing bodies and planning boards a report on <br /> such proposed text and atlas amendments,Conditional Districts,Special Use Ppermits, <br /> rezonings,subdivisions or other similar technical issues that may be referred to the <br /> Committee. <br /> (D) Render technical advice and recommendations related to this Ordinance and its <br /> operation. <br /> Orange County,North Carolina—Unified Development Ordinance Page 1-18 <br />
