He said the <br /> 15 Detention center and current Environment and Agricultural Center will be vacated, and these will <br /> 16 be opportunities for sale or redevelopment. He <br /> 24 said new capital deferment could forestall debt service increases in the future, and reduce <br /> 25 operating future costs. <br /> 26 Commissioner Hamilton requested a table explaining the various options and the <br /> 27 operating impacts. <br /> 28 Commissioner McKee asked if clarification could be provided on what the actual FY22 <br /> 29 savings would be if the County deferred, not the total cost of the capital project. He said cutting <br /> 30 the southern branch library, for example, will not result in savings of$8.4 million. <br /> 31 Travis Myren said staff will put together a document explaining when the debt payments <br /> 32 will be paid, and how operating costs are affected. <br /> 33 Commissioner McKee requested that the document be easy for anyone to understand. <br /> 34 Chair Price asked if clarification could be provided on the deferred maintenance for the <br /> 35 schools, and how the numbers were determined. <br /> 36 Travis Myren said staff worked with the schools on a three-year plan, and how the <br /> 37 schools would time the projects. <br /> 38 Chair Price said the slide shows just one year, and asked if the schools are splitting this <br /> 39 60/40. <br /> 40 Bonnie Hammersley said yes, and this is year two of the three-year plan. <br /> 41 <br />
