This notification is occurring in accordance <br /> with the provisions of Section(s) 2.8 Zoning Atlas and Unified Development Ordinance <br /> Amendments of the Orange County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). <br /> BACKGROUND: On or about November 6, 2020 the Orange County Planning <br /> Department received a Zoning Atlas amendment request for a parcel of property off of <br /> NC Highway 86 in the Hillsborough Township of Orange County. <br /> Specifically, staff received a request from Ms. Gary Carleen Richardson to <br /> rezone an approximately 2.72 acres of property in the Hillsborough Township, further <br /> identified using Orange County Parcel Identification Number (PIN) 9873-54-6387 <br /> (hereafter `the Property'): <br /> FROM: Rural Residential (R-1); Stoney Creek Basin Overlay District (Higher <br /> Intensity Development Area) <br /> TO: General Commercial (GC-4); Stoney Creek Basin Overlay District <br /> (Higher Intensity Development Area) <br /> The applicant is also requesting modification of the Future Land Use Map <br /> (FLUM) of the County's Comprehensive Plan changing the parcels current land use <br /> designation from Rural Residential to Commercial Industrial Transition Activity Node <br /> (CITAN). <br />
