Members of the Board of Commissioners <br /> 22 participated in the meeting remotely. As in prior meetings, members of the public were able to <br /> 23 view and listen to the meeting via live streaming video at <br /> 24 http://www.orangecountVnc.gov/967/Meeting-Videos and on Orange County Gov-TV on <br /> 25 channels 1301 or 97.6 (Spectrum Cable). <br /> 26 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 1. Call to Order <br /> 29 Chair Price called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and asked Commissioners to <br /> 30 accept a roll call. <br /> 31 Roll Call ensued. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 34 <br /> 35 2. Introduction of Laura Jensen, New Clerk to the Orange County Board of <br /> 36 Commissioners <br /> 37 Chair Price informally introduced Laura Jensen, the new Clerk to the Board. A formal <br /> 38 introduction will take place at the January 19, 2021 business meeting. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 BACKGROUND: <br /> 41 Over the course of several meetings the Board of Commissioners reviewed a number of <br /> 42 applicants to fill the position of Clerk to the Board, a position reporting directly to the Board of <br /> 43 Commissioners. Upon interviewing the final candidates for the position the Board of <br /> 44 Commissioners selected Laura Jensen to fill the position and Ms. Jensen accepted the offer of <br /> 45 employment. Ms. Jensen has thirteen years of progressively responsible local government <br /> 46 experience. She has served as Interim Assistant County Manager in Person County and <br /> 47 currently serves as the Assistant Finance Director and Budget Manager. <br /> 48 <br /> 49 <br /> 50 <br /> 51 <br />
