2020 Year-End Employment Trends 2020 EMPLOYMENT 16 <br /> 0.1 Mining 0.0 SECTOR ANALYSIS <br /> 5.3 Construction-0.3 The sector employment analysis presented on this page is based on the <br /> new North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS). <br /> 5.6 Durables -7.6 Seasonally adjusted nonagricultural employment in North Carolina is <br /> 4.7 expected to reach 4,369.800 persons by December 2020, a decrease of <br /> Nondurables -4.8 4.8 percent over the employment level in December 2019. The state is <br /> 4.3 Wholesale Trade -0.9 expected to lose 224,100 net jobs during the year. <br /> 11.3 Retail Trade -0.4 Twelve of the state's fourteen nonagricultural sectors of the economy <br /> are expected to experience employment decreases during 2020.
