Owner of <br /> Township Current Zoning Proposed Zoning <br /> Number Record <br /> ( PIN ) <br /> • NC Highway 57 <br /> Speedway Area — <br /> Rural Economic NC Highway 57 <br /> Development Area Speedway Area — <br /> Conditional Zoning Rural Economic <br /> ( REDA- CZ- 1 ) Development Area <br /> Conditional Zoning <br /> Rougemont ' Agricultural ( REDA- CZ- 1 ) <br /> 0910 -23 - Little River Storage Residential (AR) <br /> 7159 Center , LLC Little River Protected <br /> • Little River Watershed Overlay <br /> Protected District <br /> Watershed Overlay <br /> District Flat River Protected <br /> Watershed Overlay <br /> • Flat River Protected District <br /> Watershed Overlay <br /> District <br /> The BOCC finds : ` <br /> 1 . The requirements of Section 2 . 8 of the UDO have been deemed complete ; and , <br /> 2 . Pursuant to Sections 1 . 1 . 5 and 1 . 1 . 7 of the UDO and to Section 153A- 341 of the North <br /> Carolina General Statutes , the BOCC finds sufficient documentation within the record <br /> denoting that the amendment is consistent with the adopted 2030 Comprehensive <br /> Plan . <br /> a . The amendment is consistent with applicable plans because it supports the <br /> following 2030 Comprehensive Plan goals and objectives : <br /> i . Land Use Overarching Goal : Coordination of the amount, location, pattern, <br /> and designation of future land uses, with availability of County services and <br /> facilities sufficient to meet the needs of Orange County's population and <br /> economy consistent with other Comprehensive Plan element goals and <br /> objectives. <br /> ii . Land Use Goal 2 : Land uses that are appropriate to on -site environmental <br /> conditions and features and that protect natural resources, cultural <br /> resources, and community character. <br /> iii . Land Use Goal 3 : A variety of land uses that are coordinated within a <br /> program and pattern that limits sprawl, preserves community and rural <br />
