The following items are intended to modify requirements of the General Conditions of the <br /> Contract for Construction Where items of this section conflict with or are at variance with those <br /> of the General Conditions,they shall take precedence over the General Conditions and modify <br /> such requirements to the extent of such conflict or variation. <br /> 1.2 SUMMARY <br /> A. These Supplementary General Conditions amend and supplement the General Conditions and <br /> other provisions of the Contract Documents as indicated below. All provisions that are not so <br /> amended or supplemented remain in full force and effect. <br /> B. The terms used in these Supplementary General Conditions that are defined in the General <br /> Conditions have the meanings assigned to them in the General Conditions. <br /> 1.3 MODIFICATIONS TO GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT FOR <br /> CONSTRUCTION EXHIBIT 1, ORANGE COUNTY <br /> A. Modifications to Article 1 —Definitions: <br /> 1. The Owner referred to is Orange County Government. <br /> 2. The Designer referred to is HH Architecture located in Raleigh,North Carolina. Where <br /> the terms Engineer,Architect, or Architect-Engineer are used in the technical <br /> specifications,they shall mean Designer. <br /> B. Modifications to Article 2—Correlation, Interpretation and Intent of Contract Documents: <br /> 1. Add the following to paragraph 2.2: If the Drawings and Specifications conflict with each <br /> other or with themselves,the better quality and greater quantity of Work provided for <br /> shall govern in accordance with the Architect's or Owner's interpretation. <br /> C. Modifications to Article 6—Other Record Documents and Submittals: <br /> 1. Amend paragraph 6.1 to read: Construction documents are provided as electronic files. <br /> The Contractor is responsible for printing hard copies of the Drawings in the quantities <br /> necessary for construction. <br /> Supplementary General Conditions 007300 - 1 <br />
