Submit shop drawings showing detailing and components for conditions anticipated.Details may <br /> not be altered from the design drawings unless changes are specifically noted on the shop <br /> drawings and approved by the Designer prior to installation. The Designer may request that shop <br /> drawings be reviewed by the manufacturer,especially if significant variance from manufacturer's <br /> standard details is present. <br /> F. Submit a sample copy of the system manufacturer's standard material warranty. <br /> 1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Obtain waterproofing membrane materials from a single manufacturer with not less than 10 years <br /> of successful experience in manufacturing and supply of below grade waterproofing products. <br /> Provide other system components such as primers, insulation,mastics, sealants, termination bar, <br /> fasteners and metal flashings, as approved by manufacturer of primary membrane materials. <br /> B. Contractor shall be an approved/authorized applicator of the manufacturer for installation of the <br /> product to be installed. Approved status must be in-place prior to the bid date. <br /> C. Use adequate number of skilled workmen who are trained and experienced in the necessary crafts <br /> and who are familiar with the specified requirements and the methods needed for performance of <br /> the Work. Contractor shall have a minimum of three(3)years of experience with the installation <br /> of below grade sheet waterproofing systems. <br /> D. Comply with pertinent codes and regulations including recommendations contained in the most <br /> recent edition of The NRCA Waterproofing Manual published by the NRCA and the <br /> manufacturer's written installation instructions. Where manufacturer or NRCA <br /> recommendations differ from the design specifications and drawings, the more stringent <br /> requirement will take precedence unless otherwise agreed upon with the Designer. <br /> E. If requested,provide an inspection by the manufacturer's technical representative during system <br /> installation,technical assistance, and material application guidance as necessary to complete the <br /> system installation in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements and these specifications. <br /> 1.5 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br /> A. Work under this section will be performed within the Uniform Storage Room and an adjacent <br /> partially excavated crawlspace within the Sheriff's Office. Access to these interior areas is <br /> restricted and may require coordination and escort by building personnel. <br /> B. Access to the partially excavated space is limited in size.Field verify access conditions to ensure <br /> that materials, workers, and equipment to be used are acceptable.
