Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br /> Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections,apply to this Section. <br /> 1.2 SUMMARY <br /> A. Section Includes: <br /> 1. Installation of a new sheet waterproofing system and protection materials below-grade at <br /> portions of exterior walls identified on the design drawings. <br /> 2. Removal of existing loose/delaminated waterproofing membrane (where applicable) and <br /> preparation of existing exterior wall surfaces to obtain acceptable substrates prior to new <br /> waterproofing installations. Parging of masonry surfaces that were not originally <br /> waterproofed is included in the anticipated preparation. <br /> B. Related Sections: <br /> 1. Refer to additional specification sections regarding excavation, backfill, and storm water <br /> drainage upgrades associated with areas adjacent to exterior walls and installation of new <br /> waterproofing system materials. <br /> 1.3 INFORMATIONAL SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Submit written confirmation of contractor's approved applicator's status from the waterproofing <br /> system manufacturer. <br /> B. Submit a 6" by 6" sample of waterproofing membrane with manufacturer's identification labels <br /> attached. <br /> C. Submit product data and SDS for each product listed in this specification section and others <br /> accessory products that may be required by the waterproofing membrane manufacturer for a <br /> complete installation of the work. <br /> D. Submit manufacturer's application manuals/instructions, which describe completely the <br /> preparation of surfaces and application of specified materials. <br /> E. Submit shop drawings showing detailing and components for conditions anticipated.Details may <br /> not be altered from the design drawings unless changes are specifically noted on the shop <br /> drawings and approved by the Designer prior to installation.
