In addition, I have lived in two different areas of Orange Co where <br /> broadband was available and where it is not, so have directly experienced the benefits and <br /> detriments of availability. The digital divide impacts my economic, personal, and business <br /> activities. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> This is an important opportunity to help Orange Co. find alternative solutions to a problem that <br /> should have been solved long ago. While some solutions may no longer be within the ability of <br /> OC to solve, that does not mean we should not consider other methods of bring broadband to <br /> the rural parts of OC. <br /> Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br /> As a resident that has experienced both sides of the broadband issue, I can relate first hand to <br /> issues involved. I have sufficient technical background and education to understand the <br /> technology.
