Marcela Slade <br /> (Position#1)will not be serving a second term. Tinka Jordy(Position#5),Bronwyn Merritt(Position#8),and Tim Hoke <br /> (Position#2)have served two full terms. <br /> Two members wish to serve a second term: <br /> • Fred Joiner(Chair): Position#13,first term expiring,second term beginning 4/1/2021 <br /> • Anita Mills(Vice-chair): Position#10,first term expiring,second term beginning 4/1/2021 <br /> At the January 11,2021 meeting,the Orange County Arts Commission Advisory Board approved the appointment of John <br /> Bemis to Position#2,expiring March 31,2024. John Bemis is an acclaimed children's literature author and a former Piedmont <br /> Laureate,offering an additional voice for the literary arts on our board.Additionally,he was recently appointed to the <br /> Hillsborough Arts Council and will serve as liaison between the two boards,a position that has be vacant on our board since <br /> Doris Friend's board term expired in September. <br /> We have incoming applications for the remaining three open board positions,which we have strategically recruited based on <br /> the representation needed on our board.
