In order to correct this, staff is requesting that $32,769 be <br /> transferred from the Social Justice Reserve funds to the Health Department to cover the <br /> cost of the El Futuro contract through June 30, 2021. With this appropriation, $150,927 <br /> remains available in Social Justice Reserve funds for FY 2020-21. This budget <br /> amendment provides for the use of available Social Justice Reserve funds of $32,769 for <br /> the above stated purpose. (See Attachment 1, column #7) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, <br /> residential or economic status. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There are no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impacts associated with these items. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. This <br /> budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds in FY 2020-21 and increases <br /> the General Fund by $242,236; increases the DSS Client Services Fund by $750; and increases <br /> the Community Development Fund by $712,819. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve the budget and grant <br /> project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2020-21. <br />
