RES -2021 -- 009 ? I I <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE TRANSFER OF 4 . 6 ACRES OF LAND FROM <br /> CHATHAM COUNTY TO ORANGE COUNTY AND REVISION OF THE BOUNDARY LINE <br /> WITH CHATHAM COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS , Mt . Carmel Baptist Church owns a parcel of land along the Orange/Chatham boundary <br /> line that is split by the boundary line ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the church intends to develop the property and seeks the transfer of the Chatham County <br /> portion of the parcel to Orange County in order to facilitate a smoother development process ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the transfer of this 4 . 6 acres will result in an adjustment to the boundary line between the <br /> counties , which may only be accomplished by the North Carolina Legislature ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the church requests the Board of Commissioners demonstrate to the Legislature its <br /> support for the transfer through adoption of this resolution . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED , that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> supports the efforts of Mt .
