NCDOT Public Transportation Division/Public Transportation — 5311 Community <br /> Transportation and 5339 Combined Capital Program Grant Applications for FY <br /> 2022 <br /> Theo Letman, Transportation Services Director, reviewed the following information: <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Each year, the NCDOT Public Transportation Division accepts requests for capital, operations <br /> and administrative needs for county-operated community transportation programs. OCPT is <br /> eligible to make application for both capital and administrative funding. NC DOT has allotted a <br /> combined total of$1,230,025 for funding. <br /> Detailed breakdown is outlined in the table below: <br /> 5311 Grant Application: 5339 Combined Capital Grant: Totals: <br /> Total $ 182,325 $1,047,700 $ 1,230,025 <br /> Federal $ 145,860 $838,160 $ 984,020 <br /> Local $ 36,465 $209,540 $ 246,005 <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 1) Approve submittal of 5311 and 5339 Combined Capital Grant applications for FY 2022 in <br /> the total amount of$1,230,025 with a local match total of$246,005 to be provided when <br /> necessary; <br /> 2) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the 5311 Program Resolution, the <br /> DBE/MBE/WBE/HUB Anticipated Vendor Awards, the DBE Good Faith Efforts <br /> Certification the Local Share Certification and the Title VI Program Report; <br /> 3) Authorize the Chair to sign the annual Certifications and Assurances documents (when <br /> these legal documents are issued by the federal register) and upon final review by the <br /> County Attorney; <br /> 4) Close the public hearing; <br /> 5) Authorize the acceptance of written comment(s) via e-mail to the Board at <br /> ocbocc(a)_orangecountync.gov or by delivery to the Orange County Transportation <br /> Services office at, 600 Hwy 86 N Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278, until 9:00 a.m. on <br /> Thursday December 17, 2020. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Dorosin, seconded by Commissioner Fowler to <br /> open the public hearing. <br /> Roll call ensued <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
