4 <br /> RES-2021-009 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE TRANSFER OF 4.6 ACRES OF LAND FROM <br /> CHATHAM COUNTY TO ORANGE COUNTY AND REVISION OF THE BOUNDARY LINE <br /> WITH CHATHAM COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS, Mt. Carmel Baptist Church owns a parcel of land along the Orange/Chatham boundary <br /> line that is split by the boundary line; and <br /> WHEREAS, the church intends to develop the property and seeks the transfer of the Chatham County <br /> portion of the parcel to Orange County in order to facilitate a smoother development process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the transfer of this 4.6 acres will result in an adjustment to the boundary line between the <br /> counties, which may only be accomplished by the North Carolina Legislature; and <br /> WHEREAS, the church requests the Board of Commissioners demonstrate to the Legislature its <br /> support for the transfer through adoption of this resolution. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> supports the efforts of Mt.
