Have worked with and for OC BOE as poll-worker. Extensive experience with OC BOE in terms of campaign finance, oversight, campaign finance monitoring/compliance, reporting and reports, data management and transparency. Advocate for CH Voter-Owned elections. Former CH Council candidate. Appeared with Moses Carey multiple times to debate OC districting. Pushed for further reforms like cumulative voting, non-partisan elections both then and through today(prefer ranked choice over cumulative). Have worked on numerous campaigns last 40 years. Registered thousands of voters. Been a poll-sitter, observer for OC Dems. Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: Interested in broadening voter participation and providing more diversity in candidate choices. Want to see reforms that are inclusive instead of divisive. Look at improving transparency, accountability and efficiency in voting process. Increase citizen oversight of process. Loosen hold of local special interests on process and outcome. Increase accessibility to the ballot and ability for what will be largest voting bloc- unaffiliated voters -to choose the candidates they want to vote for. Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: I will bring an experienced and unique insight into our local politics and political landscape. I understand the current process. I know the history of how we got to today s process and will help craft a vision of where OC wants to go that is aligned with our residents values and desires.
