Ordinance to Amend Zoning Atlas and <br /> Conditions of Approval <br /> PURPOSE: To hold a public hearing, receive the Planning Board/staff recommendation and <br /> public comment, close the public hearing, and consider action on an applicant initiated Zoning <br /> Atlas Amendment for a parcel within the Little River Township of the County. <br /> Specifically, Darrell Chandler of Rougemont Storage Center, LLC, is seeking to rezone <br /> approximately 7.37 acres of a parcel at 8927 Mile Branch Road to NC Highway 57 Speedway <br /> Rural Economic Development Area (REDA-CZ-1). Approval of the zoning atlas amendment will <br /> allow for the expansion of the existing self-storage business. A copy of the application is <br /> contained in Attachment 1. <br /> BACKGROUND: Staff has processed a zoning atlas amendment application proposing to <br /> rezone a 7.37 acre portion of a 21 .54 acre parcel, further identified using Orange County Parcel <br /> Identification Number (PIN) 0910-23-7159 (hereafter `the Property'): <br /> FROM: Agricultural Residential (AR); NC Highway 57 Speedway Rural Economic <br /> Development Area (REDA-CZ-1); Flat River Protected Watershed <br /> Protection Overlay District; and Little River Protected Watershed Protection <br /> Overlay District <br />
