NCDOT Public Transportation Division/Public Transportation — 5311 Community <br /> 7 Transportation and 5339 Combined Capital Program Grant Applications for FY <br /> 8 2022 <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Theo Letman, Transportation Services Director, reviewed the following information: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 BACKGROUND: <br /> 13 Each year, the NCDOT Public Transportation Division accepts requests for capital, operations <br /> 14 and administrative needs for county-operated community transportation programs. OCPT is <br /> 15 eligible to make application for both capital and administrative funding. NC DOT has allotted a <br /> 16 combined total of$1,230,025 for funding. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Detailed breakdown is outlined in the table below: <br /> 19 <br /> 5311 Grant Application: 5339 Combined Capital Grant: Totals: <br /> Total $ 182,325 $1,047,700 $ 1,230,025 <br /> Federal $ 145,860 $838,160 $ 984,020 <br /> Local $ 36,465 $209,540 $ 246,005 <br /> 20 <br /> 21 <br /> 22 RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 23 <br /> 24 1) Approve submittal of 5311 and 5339 Combined Capital Grant applications for FY 2022 in <br /> 25 the total amount of$1,230,025 with a local match total of$246,005 to be provided when <br /> 26 necessary; <br /> 27 2) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the 5311 Program Resolution, the <br /> 28 DBE/MBE/WBE/HUB Anticipated Vendor Awards, the DBE Good Faith Efforts <br /> 29 Certification the Local Share Certification and the Title VI Program Report; <br /> 30 3) Authorize the Chair to sign the annual Certifications and Assurances documents (when <br /> 31 these legal documents are issued by the federal register) and upon final review by the <br /> 32 County Attorney; <br /> 33 4) Close the public hearing; <br /> 34 5) Authorize the acceptance of written comment(s) via e-mail to the Board at <br /> 35 ocbocc(D_orangecountync.gov or by delivery to the Orange County Transportation <br /> 36 Services office at, 600 Hwy 86 N Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278, until 9:00 a.m. on <br /> 37 Thursday December 17, 2020. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 A motion was made by Commissioner Dorosin, seconded by Commissioner Fowler to <br /> 40 open the public hearing. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Roll call ensued <br /> 43 <br /> 44 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
