2 <br /> 1 speakers can be heard from this evening. He said the speakers are just one part of the <br /> 2 equation, and the BOCC needs to also have time for its own discussion. He proposed two <br /> 3 consecutive meetings in early January. <br /> 4 Commissioner Hamilton said she appreciated having this conversation up front. She said <br /> 5 it will likely extend into January, and agreed two additional meetings will be necessary. She <br /> 6 agreed with hearing from just 20 speakers this evening. <br /> 7 Commissioner Greene agreed with holding 3 meetings, and reminded the BOCC that it <br /> 8 cannot vote at this evening's meeting, due to required 24 hour waiting period, post virtual <br /> 9 meeting. She suggested having this evening's meeting, two additional meetings in January, <br /> 10 prior to the 19th, which will allow the BOCC to discuss and vote at the already scheduled <br /> 11 January 19th meeting. <br /> 12 Bonnie Hammersley said this proposal would meet all necessary requirements. <br /> 13 Commissioner McKee reiterated his desire to not carry the meetings into January. He <br /> 14 said there has been a great deal of communication from the public, and he does not want the <br /> 15 public to feel shuffled off to the side. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton to <br /> 18 limit the number of Public Speakers for tonight's meeting to 20 for agenda item 5-b. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Chair Price called each Commissioner by name (roll call). <br /> 21 <br /> 22 VOTE: Ayes, 5 (Chair Price, Commissioner McKee, Commissioner Hamilton, <br /> 23 Commissioner Fowler, Commissioner Bedford); Nays, 2 (Commissioner Dorosin and <br /> 24 Commissioner Greene) <br /> 25 <br /> 26 MOTION PASSES <br /> 27 <br /> 28 A motion was made by Commissioner Dorosin, seconded by Commissioner Greene to <br /> 29 reconvene the Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 and Tuesday, January 12, 2021 <br /> 30 and consider making a final decision on January 19, 2021. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Chair Price called each Commissioner by name (roll call). <br /> 33 <br /> 34 VOTE: Ayes, 5 (Chair Price, Commissioner Dorosin, Commissioner Greene, <br /> 35 Commissioner Bedford, Commissioner Hamilton); Nays, 2 (Commissioner Fowler and <br /> 36 Commissioner McKee) <br /> 37 <br /> 38 MOTION PASSES <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Chair Price read the names of the 20 members of the public who will make public <br /> 41 comment this evening. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Arts Moment— No Arts Moment was available for this meeting. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 2.
