As a student at UNC Law, I ve studied elections in <br /> North Carolina and around the U.S. This summer and fall, 111 be working with a UNC Law <br /> professor on independent coursework related to elections and how to increase access for <br /> underrepresented communities. <br /> I have experience working on a 13-person board to create, organize, and promote legal <br /> volunteer opportunities for law students to serve those who cannot afford legal services. Last <br /> year, I worked as the first-year coordinator and helped nearly 80% of my classmates engage in <br /> over 3500 hours of service (despite our transition to remote learning midway through the second <br /> semester). This year, as our public relations coordinator, I ve worked with every member on our <br /> board, as well as with alumni and attorneys in the community, to recruit students for volunteer <br /> opportunities, motivate them to get involved, and highlight both students and attorneys for their <br /> work. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />
