Year-to-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant and capital project ordinance amendments for fiscal year <br /> 2020-21. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Department on Aging <br /> 1. The Orange County Department on Aging has budgetary changes to the following <br /> programs: <br /> • CARES Funds — receipt of $6,823 in additional CARES funds for the purpose of <br /> assisting Handy Helpers construct ramps within the community. The service <br /> period to spend these funds runs through September 30, 2021. <br /> • Title III-D Funds — receipt of $1,769 in additional Title III-D funds from Triangle J <br /> Council of Governments (Triangle J COG) to assist in providing evidenced based <br /> classes in program. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds and provides <br /> for a fund balance appropriation of $3,817 from the General Fund for the above <br /> mentioned purpose.
