Year-to-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant and capital project ordinance amendments for fiscal year <br /> 2020-21. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Animal Services <br /> 1. Orange County Animal Services has received a $25,000 grant from the American Society <br /> for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) to be used toward the department's <br /> veterinary assistance program, as well as unexpected spay/neuter costs. The grant <br /> service period runs through March 31, 2021. This budget amendment provides for the <br /> receipt of these grant funds for the above stated purpose. (See Attachment 1, column #1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There are no Orange County Social Justice Goals <br /> associated with this item. <br /> Health Department <br /> 2. The Orange County Health Department has received $128,566 from the FY 2017-18 Final <br /> Medicaid Cost Settlement Funds. These funds will be appropriated to the Medicaid <br /> Maximization account to support capital renovation projects for the medical and dental <br /> clinics. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds and amends the <br /> following capital project ordinance: <br />
