Only the BOCC public hearing includes a right to participate and
that is limited (such as with the 3 minute time limit).
15. What is the most effective way of engaging with the process?
Planning staff are available to answer questions on a development proposal
and/or to explain process requirements.
Attend the NIM to learn about the applicant's proposal and have an
opportunity to ask questions and offer comments.
Attend the Planning Board meeting to learn about staff and Board
recommendation(s).
Write to the BOCC or speak at the public hearing. At the public hearing you
will be limited to 3 minutes, but there is no limit to emailed comments.
