11 <br /> I Slide #11 <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Capital Investment Plan Amendments <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 • The Manager recommends that the Board accept the remainder of <br /> 7 the FY2020-25 Capital Investment Plan by <br /> 8 — Approving a 594,500 budget amendment in Year 1)FY 2020-21)in the Information <br /> 9 Technologies Infrastructure Capital Project as reflected in the June 16,2020 meeting <br /> minutes:and <br /> 10 <br /> 11 — Approving either the amendments listed on Option 1 or Option 2 in Attachment f to finalize <br /> 12 the FY2020-2025 Capital Investment Plan. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Commissioner Marcoplos asked if the Parks projects would be banished to years 6-10, <br /> 15 or if they could be pulled back in earlier. <br /> 16 Travis Myren said staff reviews this plan every year, and projects can always be moved <br /> 17 around. <br /> 18 Commissioner Marcoplos asked if members of the Public were engaged on this item, <br /> 19 and changes. <br /> 20 Chair Rich said she has heard from the Durham Tech people, who are excited. <br /> 21 Bonnie Hammersley said Commissioners vote on the funding annually, and this item is <br /> 22 just the plan. She said the public may be more vocal around funding discussions. She said the <br /> 23 plan does move the County forward with Durham Tech, and there will be other issues moving <br /> 24 forward. <br /> 25 Commissioner Dorosin said he has heard from many members of the public, not just <br /> 26 Durham Tech, and all comments have been very positive. He said he appreciated receiving all <br /> 27 of the additional information, and would be in favor of voting for the option that saved $500,000, <br /> 28 which will keep the CIP more balanced. He said he would be in favor of option 1. <br /> 29 Commissioner Price clarified that option one contained the reduction. <br /> 30 Travis Myren said yes. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 A motion was made by Commissioner Dorosin, seconded by Commissioner Price to <br /> 33 approve the amendments presented in option 1 and to accept the remainder of the FY 2020- <br /> 34 2025 Capital Investment Plan. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Commissioner Marcoplos asked if the name of Durham Tech could be changed to <br /> 37 Durham-Orange/Orange-Durham Technical Community College. <br /> 38 Chair Rich said Bonnie Hammersley will begin those conversations. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Chair Rich called each Commissioner by name (roll call). <br /> 41 <br /> 42 VOTE: Ayes, 5 (Commissioner Greene, Commissioner Dorosin, Commissioner <br /> 43 Marcoplos, Commissioner Price, Chair Rich); Nays, 2 (Commissioner Bedford, <br /> 44 Commissioner McKee) <br /> 45 <br /> 46 MOTION PASSES 5-2 <br /> 47 <br /> 48 A motion was made by Commissioner Greene, seconded by Commissioner Price to <br /> 49 approve the $94,500 budget amendment adjustment to Year 1 (FY 2020-21) funding in the <br />
