This report tliscusses the manner in whiMi <br />effective vegetative screening can be achlevetl between the new facility and Eubanks <br />Road. This report accompanies a plan tlrawing entitled Concept o/screen planting <br />along Eubanks Road, datetl August 25, 21b1. <br />When wnstruneq the 08D IantlfJl will owupy a lantl arse of approximately 26 ayes. <br />The ultimate landFll height will be 630 feet above sea level, which is about 90 feel <br />above the average elevation of Eubanks Roatl in this vicinity, (S40 feet). This height <br />will be achievetl about 500 fee[ tlistant hom the Eubanks Road pavement, sanMing to <br />a conceptual drawing prepared by Joyce Engineering. <br />The segments of property line along Eubanks Roatl which are being consitleretl in this <br />report comprise s total distance of about 580 linear feet of vegetated buffet The <br />speed of travel along Eubanks Roatl, antl the average angle of view iMd the facility, <br />may indicates slightly greater aMUel length of planted screen <br />Regulatory Conte# <br />Two governing agencies have direct control over the issue of buffers antl visual <br />separation between the new landfill activity and public rightsbf-way. <br />The North Caroline Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NC-DENR) <br />requires a 200~fcot buffer between C8D landFlls antl public rights-of-way.
