The Orange Water and Sewer AUthotlty is managing <br />this constmction project under an agreement approvetl by the BOCG in April 2000. Actual <br />construction of the water mains is expectatl to begin in September. <br />The costs of [he remaining elements of this public water supply proled are associated whh <br />intlivitlual msitlences availing themselves of the water made available [o their community es a <br />result of the previously funtletl water main constmction. These ms(s inclutle OWASA <br />availability fees antl water meters, plumbing from the water meter to the house, interior <br />plumbing, antl payment of monthly water bills. The Solid Waste Advisory BoeM has examined <br />these additional fees In the attached repptl antl has submidetl a recommendation to the Boats <br />of Commissioners regarding additional County funding for this pmjec[. The County Attorney <br />has determined (ha[ [here are some qualifications antl motlifcations that the Boats of <br />Commissioners will have tc observe regading the passible implementation of the specific <br />recommendations from the SWAB. His observations ere provided in a letter tc the BOCC under <br />separate cover. Staff, the Attorney, and SWAB representatives will be prepared to answer <br />questions that Commissioners may have about options for funding the remaining elements of <br />the public water supply project. <br />
