Consent Agenda <br /> 9 <br /> 10 • Removal of Any Items from Consent Agenda <br /> 11 <br /> 12 • Discussion and Approval of the Items Removed from the Consent Agenda <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Commissioner Dorosin referred to item 8-g, and asked if there is a reason for this closed <br /> 15 session to be added before a meeting, as opposed to the typical practice of afterwards. <br /> 16 Chair Rich said this is a meeting to discuss applications for the Clerk position, and staff <br /> 17 thought the BOCC may be more fresh at the beginning of the evening. <br /> 18 Commissioner Dorosin asked if this will take 90 minutes, and could the Commissioners <br /> 19 come into the meeting with their top 5 candidates to expedite the process. <br /> 20 Chair Rich said yes, this was already staff's suggestion. She said this item is on the <br /> 21 consent agenda, as the meeting must be added to the BOCC calendar. <br /> 22 Greg Wilder said no action is needed if the BOCC does the meeting at the end of the <br /> 23 already scheduled work session. He said action is only needed if the BOCC wants to add it <br /> 24 prior to the work session. <br /> 25 Commissioner Bedford asked if the work session agenda is full. She said she is flexible. <br /> 26 Bonnie Hammersley reviewed the agenda items for the work session. <br /> 27 Commissioner Greene said she would defer to Commissioner Dorosin's request. <br /> 28 Commissioner Marcoplos suggested starting the work session at 6, and having he <br /> 29 closed session afterwards. <br /> 30 Commissioner McKee said he would prefer to meet afterwards. <br /> 31 Commissioner Price said she would prefer to start earlier. <br /> 32 Commissioner Greene said this will be a work session, and not full of complex decisions. <br /> 33 Chair Rich asked if the BOCC can start the work session at 6:00 p.m. <br /> 34 Commissioners Greene and Dorosin said they would prefer to start at the normal time of <br /> 35 7:00 p.m. <br /> 36 Commissioner McKee said he cannot imagine the first run through of candidates will <br /> 37 take 90 minutes. <br /> 38 Commissioner Marcoplos said to leave the work session at 7:00 p.m. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 A motion was made by Commissioner Dorosin, seconded by Commissioner Marcoplos <br /> 41 to remove item 8-g from the consent agenda. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Chair Rich called each Commissioner by name (roll call). <br /> 44 <br /> 45 VOTE: UNANMIOUS <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> 48 <br /> 49 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Dorosin to <br /> 50 approve the consent agenda. <br />
